wow what a month! been busier than a one legged man in an ass kickin contest here! LOTS of tattoos. Been booked pretty solid for weeks now. Been really nice seeing lots of people in the shop again, but I need more arms! lol Its tough to tattoo, answer phones, make appointments, paint ,talk to customers, run the printer ,fix the lites, get the garden ready and planted, rub out clear coat ,and change the oil on my cars. lol but some how I'm managing to keep up with it all! Did 5000 magnetic business cards for my friends at                           I-SUPPLEMENTS.COM      and some graphics for a boat, so the new printer is makin money. Tryin to get the laminating machine running right for the boat art was a solid day of frustration but I got it workin good now. Just finished up the most girlie paint job of my life on a bike. It was tough lookin at that much pink but after I finished with the artwork its kinda grown on me. lol
   People comin in for tattoos have been kinda funny lately. Mostly its been lots of lettering, but the ones that I've been giggling about lately has been the people comin in and askin for "a half sleeve". Now I love the big work like that but when I ask these people what they want to see for a half sleeve, they're answer is "don't know, don't' care, whatever you wanna do, I just want a half sleeve!" Seems that the usual star or cross doesn't make you cool enough now, ya gotta have a sleeve to be the cool one . lol  I'm not givin people to much crap about it though because at least I'm doing artwork instead of lettering. It takes a bit of time to pry it out of them, what they are wanting to wear but at least we're getting back to real artwork again finally, The only half sleeves that get an eye roll and sigh out of me right now is the come back in tribal that the UFC tough guys are askin for. At least the tribal is at the proper scale this time around. Its just so boring putting in solid black for hours on end.
All in all I'm happy and makin money. Still waiting for that one exceptional artist that fits in here with me. I have patience though. I waited 3 years for Jamie  walked in the door and probably that long again for Tony  before that. guess thats my fault for being so picky about the people that  i work with, but its my name on the art that walks out the door weather I did the work or not. So I'll wait for the quality person to walk in . got no room for rock star life style wanna bees. I'll pass. I wanna work with a real artist who could careless about what style of tattooing all the other tattoo artists are doing and just wants to focus on doing cool art in they're own style. yea I'll wait.
oh !and the stock market has been kickin my ass! what the hell happen to the cloud and mobile phone play? if it weren't for metals and nat gas I'd have lost all my profits from last year! "sigh" again patience....
